Web Seminar: Developing Large Scale Effective Teacher Learning Communities at NSTA

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Dr. Al Byers and Flavio Mendez from NSTA will share an overview of the online learning community and e-PD portal, as well as the research and findings that demonstrate impact, growth, and efficacy. They will examine learner-content and leaner-learner community opportunities such as diagnosing learning needs, aggregating resources, sharing collections, and completing self-directed experiences in community with others. They will discuss strategies NSTA employs to help build and sustain vibrant online communities and blended PD experiences. Participants will gain insight into how NSTA helps enhance a professional learning community through a unique badge recognition system.

This program is designed for educators of grades K-12. All participants will receive a certificate of participation, 100 Activity Points, and a SciPack of their choice (value: $40) for attending and completing the evaluation at the end of the program. Program will take place on August 22, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern time. To register go to: http://learningcenter.nsta.org/products/SeminarRegistration.aspx
