Franki Sibberson and Bill Bass, two members of the NCTE Executive Committee that drafted the NCTE Definition of 21st Century Literacies and related Curriculum and Assessment Framework (2008), will host a special #engchat - a Twitter conversation - on Monday, August 20th, at 7 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. PDT. The topic of the chat will be an exploration of how the Definition (http://bit.ly/LoZ0ee) and Framework (http://bit.ly/M6rdaX) play out in classrooms and teaching in 2012.
Sometime before we begin #engchat at 7 pm Eastern on Monday, August 20th, 2012, please take a few minutes to visit the Google doc, review the Definition of 21st Century Literacies, and respond in whatever way you'd like to the prompt: What element(s) of the NCTE definition of 21st century literacies have become more important in your classroom/teaching/personal life in the last 4-1/2 years?
