As Common Core State Standards transform our teaching and learning, being knowledgeable about the tools essential for successful Professional Learning Communities will be of benefit to educators as life-long learners and for over-all student achievement.
Our webinar is designed to showcase the features and capabilities of the Saywire® online application as presented by Josh Hoover, Saywire’s Chief Technology Officer. Learn to engage learners with rich, dynamic environments for individual, group, and project-based learning activities with Saywire’s award-winning knowledge sharing platform. From simple blogs to elaborate personal networks and embedded learning communities, Saywire's built-in tools put the power to communicate, collaborate, and create/share content right at your fingertips. Capable of supporting blended, distance, and virtual learning communities of any size, the Saywire community is the result of working directly with educators, students, and administrators since 2006.
Carole Everhart, Director of Professional Learning, Coaching and Virtual Implementation from Evans Newton Inc. will demonstrate how ENI utilizes Saywire’s technology to provide a virtual PLC for support of action-oriented professional development, online collaboration and sharing, reflection and feedback and to provide opportunities for on-going professional growth to districts and schools. Saywire’s functionality and tools will be demonstrated in this environment so that participants can learn about creation of a PLC using this application, how that can be used to benefit teachers, and how teachers can then use the same format to provide networking capabilities for their students.
Open discussion and on-topic questions are encouraged throughout the webinar.
