The U.S. Department of Education created the online School Turnaround Learning Community (STLC) in July 2011 to further support states, districts, and schools involved in school turnaround. To date the STLC has over 4,300 members, offers over 600 resources, and 55 archived webinars. The Office of School Turnaround recently re-launched the community to offer new features to promote peer-to-peer learning and to assist educators in gaining access to valuable resources and webinars.
We invite you to learn more about the community by participating in a walk through webinar with David Yi and Christopher Tate, Office of School Turnaround on August 28, 2012 from 2-3pm EST. This walkthrough offers an overview of the site, information about types of groups and what they offer, descriptions of types of resources, available, and a preview of upcoming plans for the STLC.
We look forward to engaging with you to explore collaborative opportunities the site provides and discuss ways to engage your colleagues in the STLC.
